Trusted authentication lets you set up a trusted relationship between your Tableau Server and the PushMetrics servers. This allows users to open live views without additional authentication to Tableau.
When Tableau Servers receive requests from a trusted web server, it assumes that the web server has already handled whatever authentication is necessary. Tableau Servers receive the request with a redeemable token or ticket and presents the user with a personalized view which takes into consideration the user’s role and permissions.

Please follow Tableau’s instructions to add Trusted IP Addresses to Tableau Server here: https://onlinehelp.tableau.com/current/server/en-us/trusted_auth_trustIP.htm
Please add the following IP address to your list of trusted hosts:
- 18.156.113.81
For on-premise deployments, replace these with the IP of the server where PushMetrics is running.
